Lipstick:
Use it to seal fresh
cuts on trees,
roses, shrubs, evergreens, etc.
Talcum Powder:
Dust cabbage &
other veggies
for insect control.
Medicated Baby
Powder:
Keeps varmints away
from your bulbs.
Antiseptic
Mouthwash:
Use to control
insects and
prevent plant disease.
Moth Balls:
For borer control in
bulbs, trees,
and shrubs, use 1/2 cup per 4" of circumference sprinkled on the soil
in
early March and September. Also hang around garden in nylons to deter
rabbits,
deer, raccoons and skunks.
Epsom Salts:
Use 1 TBSP per plant
for tomatoes
& peppers around roots when planting them in the garden. Also use a
pinch every month around soil of peppers. Use a TBSP each month around
tomato plants.
Mineral Oil:
Use 1-2 tsp per ear
of corn when
silks first appear to repel bugs and have tasty corn. Just apply
to the silk.
