Notice the snapshot of the desktop at left. If you Double left click the blue "e" Internet Explorer icon it will bring up the dialup "connect" screen. When it does, click "Connect" and wait for your modem to connect to the Internet. When you're connected, two small computers will appear down in the lower right corner near your clock.
Double click the Outlook Express icon (It looks like an envelope) to open the email program.
The best way to test email setup is once you are online, send an email to yourself. After you send an email to yourself, reply to that email and then retrieve that one also. If you can send and receive to yourself and reply to that email and it comes back to you...setup is correct!
It's always best to have a friend or relative that's familiar with browsing web pages and sending email to show you some about the programs.
Good luck and happy Internetting!
