This information is directed to all customers who may be using one of the Kansas City dial-up numbers for access. These numbers are: 913-789-8194, 913-441-7911 and 816-459-4814.

These numbers are available through a service provided by Southwestern Bell known as VPOP. The VPOP service program was terminated a couple years ago however ISP's using the service have been able to extend their use beyond the end of their contract as long as no changes were made including adding or reducing the level of service provided.

I have received notice that the VPOP service is no longer going to be available. Accordingly, after August 31, 2004, these numbers will no longer be in operation. If you are using one of these numbers for your access, you will need to make other arrangements before the end of August 2004 for your internet access.

If you are located within the KC metro area you may qualify to use our DSL service for your access. The cost of this high-speed always-on access using your existing voice phone line is only $29.95 per month with a one time $99 modem charge, based on a one-year contract. This service works along with your normal dial tone so both the telephone and internet access may be used at the same time without interfering with each other. This means if you have a second phone line for internet so that your main phone line is not busy, the second line is no longer needed for DSL.

If you have paid in advance for your dial-up service and you have time remaining on your account beyond the end of August 2004, we will certainly provide a full refund for your unused service, in the event you do not change to DSL. Please contact our office at 913-557-2777 in regards to your refund.

If you are using our web hosting services for a domain name and not our dial-up, this change will not effect you. However, it would be very important to contact us with regards to your access and hosting services to prevent the accidental deletion of an account related to your domain name and web files.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as the decision to end this service is out of our hands.
